The Southport seaway bombie was epic yesterday afternoon , so we loaded the boat and hit it at first light this morning, when we got to the Seaway in the dark the whole entrance was closing out , we waited 10mins for a bit of light and picked our way out 800m to the back of the break..
It was huge but to our disappointment it had severe morning sickness , breaking all over the shop coming through fat and then pitching sucky take offs , which made it very hard for me on the 9-1 (9-10 still getting fixed).
Rosco was the first to go and got engulfed , then I went only to get the lip in the back of the head on the way down (EPIC OVER THE FALLS) then Simo finally cracked big right hander and made it all the way through. We were hooting , then Rosco went again and didn't make around the section with the thick lip landing right on him snapping his 10-0 C4 in half

so he made his way back to the boat with the deck grip holding the board together.
1 picked off another one and the 9-1 started sliding when I tried the bottom turn I still made it around the section just had to back off on the back foot (needs bigger fins).I caught one more after that and rode it in too far in and got another great flogging , after 15mins Simo got worried and started looking for me but he got caught inside as well and joined me in the Huey Spa bath , we both eventaully made it back to boat and called it a day.
We were back in by 7.30m and off to work.
