I find people ask me the strangest questions about my board.

Almost every time I'm out, random people ask me the following - usually in this order:

1. What are you doing?

2. Do you ever fall in?

I went to dinner the other night with my neighbors, and after all the 'mid life crisis jokes' - made largely at my expense - someone asked me "what if you get a heart attack out there?"

Which has made me think about all the other 'wacky' things people must ask you guys when they see you out, or know you paddle.

I paddle past heaps of people on St Kilda pier almost daily and always get asked..

1. What are you doing?

2. Do you ever fall in?

I usually explain..It's called SUP..Stand Up Paddling.

And I only fall in when someone says.."Look at that guy..Take a picture"

I've fallen in a couple of times looking back and trying to look cool for the camera..and fallen in......That was in the old NSP days.
