Looks the goods Doug. Probably should just clarify board lengths as they state differently on the website.
Fenn Cup 12'+ or 14'+?
Skodea Series 12' or 12'6"?

Is the SUP prize money the same as the other divisions?

Dream on mate!

But I am sure the PaddleSurFIT girls will be there in full force!
(as seen in the SPSC club round thread)

We are really keen to make the Team Challenge the draw card as it could be a really fun event in teams of 2 or 4 doing 4 x 2km laps.

One of the best locations in Sydney to do it as well having the Long Reef SLSC as the focal point at the end of each round.

Hey guys,
Yeah basically prize money is not something that we have factored in at this stage for SUP but stand-by for prizes and more information in the coming weeks re this. At the moment I wanted to get information out there of the dates as the first race is not far away.

Categories to clear up any confusion.

Skoda challenge - 8km individual and teams 12'6 boards
Fenn Cup - 20km 14km and open class boards

Making it simple for the first series.

Hope this helps.

Guys just an update re the paddle series. We have been working with Andrew from Balmoral Boards and Sam from Windsurfnsnow (Long Reef). We have started gathering some great prizes for the series.

Entries are now open www.oceanpaddler.com and more information will be available in both shops in the coming days.

Dean Gardiner has run similar races in Western Australia for the last 2 years called the Doctor and has loads of experience in paddle events. Deano is back from racing in the US and is really keen to develop the category of SUP in Sydney. The sport has taken off on the Gold Coast and I think it is only a matter of time before it explodes here.

Stay tuned for more information on what will be a really exciting series.

Can you make it a bit clearer Doug?

It would be a shame if the main sponsor has its sights on one category and not the other, it sort of raises the question what the sponsors intentions are? At least with the oc races we are all on an even keel......
