Here are the results and times from the Fenn Cup (Palm Beach to Long Reef - 20km):

1. Sam Parker 2:12:51 - Naish 14' Carbon
2. Peter Myer 2:18:10 - Naish 14' AST
3. Stuart Murray 2:32:22 - C4 14' Vortice
4. Andrew Cassidy 2:41:42 - DC 12'6"
5. Peter Morgan 2:43:04 - Starboard 14'

It was a fun race but VERY hard with minimal good runners. The 15 knot ENE seabreeze, a confused swell and lots of backwash bouncing off the rocks (for those of us that took the inside line) made things tricky and wore us out quickly due to the extra balance required to just stay upright.

Fairy penguins, whales, blue bottles and purple people eaters were seen on the trip down the coast.

Massive respect to you guys on completing this course. The wind had lots of east in it with plenty of rebound. Can't begin to imagine how tought it would of been. Strange that you all look so comfortable?!!? If I didn't see you start at Pittwater myself, I would have thought you might of just raced around from Fishermans

Pete Meyer was running much harder and smiling a lot less than that for his keys after the race. Much more like Stuey in his photo!

Sam.

Sam

Thats so true.

Lets not forget the guy walking home past the sands hotel still several kilometres from the finish.

We guessed it was gear failure.

Hats of to him.

that poor bugger...hats off for sure...I wonder what his official time was. That is not how you want to finish..better than DNF (did not finish) or DNS (did not start). more like WTF (walked to finish)
