In a world first descent on Sups we were very humbled to be hiked in and paddled out of the upper Colo by legend Jeff Cottrell from Willow Warriors. A special day remembered for all the right reasons.

Beautiful part of the world, and what a great way to enjoy it! My old ankles ache just thinking about running rapids!

Very cool. Camped up the upper Colo many times as a kid ( I take it there were no Colo River Whackademus sitings on your run? )

Do you use cheaper paddles to do this? Do you tend to break many?

Newbie, I used my $600 paddle to Sup around Sydney. I got tempted to run a few rapids and chipped the tip on my fav paddle. Price to pay. Generously fixed perfectly for free(donation) by Breakers. So know I use the cheaper, heavier and plastickier paaddle in the photo. It is a budget thing.

Thanks guys for the feedback and no Wackydemus this trip tho did spot foot prints of the rare Watchydoomus.
