I dislocated my knee and tore my ACL in a windsurfing stack couple of days after Xmas. To get some exercise I have been prone paddling my sup until today. Along with some physio and LOTS of exercising and the aid of a great knee brace I managed to get up on a board and paddle for an hour.
F***, it felt great!!!!!
Just makes you realise how much you miss being on the water. Admittedly I miss my windsurfing the most but the paddling is what kept me sane. Getting up and paddling around was such a tonic.
I can now get back into paddling (slowly) and hopefully get some fitness back and feel how awesome it is to be out on the water doing what you love.
You take it for granted but when its taken away you realise how much its such an important part of life!!!

A man of your years should know better!

Old bodies are more easily injured and take longer to repair.

Never ditch the sail! Never!
