1 year ago today i caught my first wave on a sup. I had been out almost every day for 6 weeks in the canals just getting time on the water and had been in the ocean 5 times(I surfed before i lost my sight so it wasn't all new to me) It was early morning and a little overcast with 1 to 2 foot of swell running. i'd been out for about an hour just doing my thing to that point which was to paddle out past where i wanted to take off from turn around and head back in hoping to get something but not expecting to when a wave came though and knocked me off balance and as i stumbled i fell akwardly on my board but somehow fell into surfing stance and was just trying to regain my balance when i realised i'd been riding this wave for about 50 metres, frozen and not wanting to lose balance i just kept going til i went past my brother Gazza who was cheering which snapped me out of my "Trance" and i started to paddle as well and rode it right into the beach. It's still the longest wave i've got on the sup. I've caught lots of waves since that have been bigger and better but NONE as memorable!!!

Awesome mate good job. I know lummers was telling me that they use a technology that has a radio with speakers mounted into a helmet so an instructor can talk to his students while giving surf lessons. That might be good if you had a spotter calling you onto waves but sounds like you're smashing it anyway. Keep ripping it up!
