Yes, DJ, he does. He also needs to learn to swim! I was out, the family came to join me and he asked for a go. It's a lagoon mouth, so I got some wave time (great conditions here yesterday) and he got some flat water.
The board is one of Ivan Van Vuuren's. Coreban 9'6" Performer. Available here in Cape Town, South Africa, and hopefully, for you guys, will be available in Oz some time. Ivan is in negotiation to get them there. There was a vid of it up on the forum (Great new Ivan clip) and I posted some pictures to show off as I'd just bought it.
your wife could be right but your dad says it all,better old and active than old and f***ed,i know plenty of older active surfers,i think it is the peter pan syndrome but the secret is surfing thats what keeps us young,btw does your wife surf/sup.keep your boy surfing and suping,they are the future of the sport
