Awesome vid! That makes me want to get out there right NOW - No Opportunity Wasted. You work yourself into the waves really well Robbo. I was standing square when paddling into waves, but it looks like the surf position works better. Great work.

Gday DJ,its 9'4"x29.5x4.5 great board.I had it in some good size stuff last weekend(6'-8') it really hung in the big faces for a quad,I thought it might slide a bit,but all good,

Woo hoo - Robbo rippin' out the point. Classic stuff. Wish I was there.

Water still a bit brown/green, hey?

When I've surfed that break, I ride the waves for more than twice as long as Robbo. That's because I'm just so stoked be on a decent point break wave. Robbo, on the other hand, gets to surf that place everyday and only rides the best bit of the wave, then pulls off. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to be so selective?

Can't wait fo the episode when it's big, glassy, sunny and clear water.

Great Vid Robbo!!!

Wondering how you keep the water droplets off the lens of the Gopro????

I got 900 shots this morning in the continuous still mode and and only 6 were usable after photoshoping.

Same issue with video.

I used to use citric acid on my scuba housing lense ports but they were glass not acrylic.

What he said, Phill. That's what we use on film cameras for water work. It only lasts for 1/2 hour or so then you need to clean the lens port and reapply. I've seen some guys use a cut potato wiped over the front but I'm not sure about how well it works.

Hey MickV,

We used to use apple juice and that works great on glass ports but i wasnt sure if it would fog the acrylic.

I will wait till I get the rainex

Mick the Laird is now living happily in portland it left OGon Tuesday.

Mick,

The glide is an option, but I would like to try something from DC up north maybe in 14ft.

The PSH 10'6 isnt exactly a flat water or downwinder machine laughs, but I do love it in the surf! Since I set the 10'6 up as a thruster with fg7s it is so much more lively.

I paddled rich's 9'6 wide about a week ago, in time and with less kgs me thinks thats the next step for the surf.

We should catch up at some point Mick

Hey Robbo,

Any ideas??

This is the blurb from the internet:

"Designed for maximum convenience, simply press the shutter button on the paddle out and the Surf HERO will shoot TV resolution video or 5MP photos every 2 seconds for an hour while you surf. Once it starts shooting video or photos you can forget about it until it's time to review your footage at the end of your session."

Blurb from Gopro Site

Modes: video, standard photo, photo every 2 or 5 secs, 3x photo burst sequence, self timer, upside down photo/video flip

The instruction booklet with the camera says 5 second intervals and from matching the stills to the shore based video we shot it does look like 4 - 5 seconds?

Is anybody getting 2 seconds????

Does anyone know how to set it to 2 second mode???

On the average ride of say 10 - 15 seconds this makes a huge difference 5 - 7 shots per ride @ 2 sec intervals versus 2 - 3 @ 5 secs

Any feedback?

Regards

Phill
