Board upside down on a couple of chairs or bricks and leave for a couple of days. Make sure you put a bowl under the vent plug to see if any water is coming out. If there seems to be a fair amount of water you may need to put a vacuum pump on it and suck it all out.

Don't have a vacuum pump anyways, so just got it on a good angle with tissue fanned out the vent hole. Will let it sit the whole week..

If water is in there should the tissue become wet? And need changing ?

Put it somewhere warm right way up with a 'wick' pushed into the vent hole - I cut a strip off our mop.

The wick should get very wet and draw the moisture out.

The water will be evaporating as it exits via the wick , is the board much heavier (on scales not by your memory)
If much sea water got in any salt will get left behind i imagine and that will probably add some grams ?

A good vaccum pump can be made with aquarium air pumps and reversing the valves so the air is sucked in instead of pushed out. These pumps are not strong enough to damage a board, and can run for days.

For instance, I push air via the vent (white pump) and pull it via the ding in the nose (black pump)



Also, If there is a lot of water, I repair the ding once it is dry enough, but during no waves days, I just drill a hole in the ding, put a tube in it and resume pumping the water away. When I want to surf, just fill the hole with 5 minutes epoxy + microspheres, and hit the water.
