It's slimmer, so you can leave your window maximized on wide displays, and not have to feel like your watching the tennis reading left-right on a 27" display.

Any chance of adding 'regional' area folders to the SUP Paddle Clubs Section so that it's easier to find meet-ups etc. specific to wherever you are rather than having to scroll through nation-wide meetups hoping to spot the one specific to where you paddle?

I have a hard enough time right now spotting local areas let alone trying to decipher through the rest. I know it makes sense to all the regulars on these forums but I'm thinking of the people just coming into the sport, etc.

If it is to make it easier for people to access the site on their smart phones.......this makes me wonder if any survey has been done to see what percentage of forum visitors actually do log in to the breeze on their phones?
Are 95 % of us going to suffer a reduced technological quality so 5% can sit in a cafe & squint at their iphones or whatever?

The only thing certain in life is change.

Two reasons:
1) A bit like big hair in the 70's, sideburns, moustaches, perms, disco music and SUP board shapes, things need to evolve to become better (hopefully). Often change is greeted with opposition, and lets hope it's because it's new, not because it's rubbish.

2) Yes, as you guessed, there are lots of people accessing the site via mobile, and I'm waay late looking after these people. There are now more mobile devices in use than toilets .. a recent stat quoted 117 devices per 100 people.

Not going to "inflict" an upgrade on anybody .. if you speak up here, and tell me where you think the design should head (rather than "I don't like XYZ"), then yes please .. have a hand in guiding it.

An update from all the feedback so far.

If you're keen and able, and want to be involved it making it the goodness, do take time to check it out again...

1) iPad fonts/sizing all fixed up

2) Android failing click on menus all fixed up

3) "Try to please all the people all the time fix"

Let me explain this one: I'm in favour of the fixed width in the middle design, as it prevents the "watching tennis" effect, however, do understand others prefer the wider format. So... at the very bottom of the page, you'll find a "Widescreen | Fixed" option where you can choose!! Happy days for all.

Do give the fixed width a go before you dis it, as it has been widened a little.

4) Drop shadow has been lightened

5) Some whitespace dropped, although with all the white, there's still a lot of white.

6) Sorry, no fix for the overflowing text just yet..

.. all the other features requested have been logged, but staying focussed on layout for all the devices at the moment.

It's all good stuff .. it won't go live, until everybody the majority are happy with where it's headed

The font might be a bit fine and small for my fading eyesight though.

Lookin good so far. Funny it's almost hard to get used to a simple look after being bombarded with an overload of graphic stuff everywhere else haha.....

I do have one thought, when looking at replies, for my eyes there isn't a clear cut obvious break between replies. Im on an ipad. I seem to skim over replies that i thought were part of another one. Wonder if possibly adding a slightly darker color to the header of a reply would help.

I agree with what someone else posted on here having regional sections great idea (maybe even international to for us non locals..haha.)

Hope that makes sense, and it might just be me.

I like the new look so far.
