You guys mention you dont like the gopro cams, i presume the same version that laurie is selling.

But i just thought sinse our climate is not the same as yours if we would have the fog issue.

Or is it realy just a waste of loot this version.

Silica gel works a treat, or you could try this rambos-locker.blogspot.com/2009/01/permanently-preventing-fogging-of-gopro.html

Just thinking.. It's not real good for Go Pro having a thread titled "GO PRO PROBLEMS".. when there really are none... IMO.

Just load the cemera into the housing while in front of an air conditioner vent. The dry air from air con will stop the camera fogging up. Easy.

This converts to a problem, I walk to the beach ummm crawl out my door.

The question in the first place was... Does this apply to my climate or are you having fog issues because of the humid air there.

It's physics.. The GoPro is a camera that lives inside a case. If you seal warm air inside the case then immerse the case in cold, the water condenses and you get fog. To get around it, seal cold air inside the case (ie airconditioner as casso suggests) or use anti-fog liquid. Search is your friend.

We've got the sucker/chesty/other mounts, just not loaded into the shop yet...

Thanks laurie, A question.. I remember on here there was a bit about the new version HD and how most computers wont allow the vid to be downloaded or may have a lot of hassle with it.

But it does longer video and has solved the fog issue.

BP, all computers allow the GoPro to download (transfer) the files and if you have the correct codec installed it will play. Older and i mean really old computers might have an issue playing HD videos, be from a GoPro or any HD source. Editing HD from a GoPro or other HD cam does take longer than Std Def, but when you play it on your Big Screen Plasma or LCD it will blow you away, so it all depends on what you want to do with the footage.

Fogging issues can be handled just like any other issue, if you don't wax your board you slip off, if you don't format the SD card it won't record, etc. It's just part of the work-flow to ensure a SUP video session goes as planned. You have a many options, Silica gel in the case, air con method above, insert a "Gortex" vent in to the outer case, wipe inside case with antifog solution etc. Some people don't even experience fogging at all, but it's good to know the info is out there if you do.

Shooting GoPro SUP videos and putting them online is not for everyone, it's time consuming, that's why not everyone wants to do it, but the guy's that are, do a great job and i know everyone appreciates that they do. Give it a go, but i must warn you, it's addictive .....hahaha.

got to disagree here, I've never put a spot of wax on my board and don't have deckgrip or sugar coat - contrary to popular belief my split toe O'Neill booties grip just fine.

I'll bet anyone $10 the next topic bp brings up about the go pro is the weird spot you get. DNFTT.
