as there seems to be a few of you SUP persons who have these cameras ,can any one offer some information on batteries . i have just got a new wide angle pro and not sure which batteries will be the best . what does everyone use , if they are rechargeable what brand are they? are they niMH or lithium? does it make any difference to operation of the camera. i had another helmet camera and it did make a difference, any information would be great . thanks

Lithium are available as recharge batteries. Go Pro recommends them, Lithium, for cold water use as the NiMH tend to discharge very quickly in cold conditions.

I use Energizer which have a 900mAh rating which is higher than most. The batteries always last longer than the cards memory, I get about 54Min's for continuous running.
My older body prefers this format to Cassos' kneel down after every wave and switch off the camera, paddle out the back and kneel down and switch on the camera just before a wave arrives style.

What Rod said, except I use Duracell NiMH 900mAh rechargeables.

I can get a full 2 hour session out of a 2GB memory card by doing the old pause-camera-while-paddling-out-and-waiting-out-the-back technique.

I've never run out of battery before I've run out of memory card.

Gday all,
Since getting my new GOPRO,I have experienced some fogging issues within the camera. After talking to the Supplier(newcastlesup.com)Simon advised me to load the camera into the housing whilst sitting inside the car with the aircon on.I still got a bit of fog happening so I e-mailed GOPRO.They advised me to do the same as Simon said, but also added that I could try wacking a SILICA GEL satchel, found in tablet bottles etc, into the housing to absorb any moisture!!!!!!thought Id pass that on to you guys,NOW GET OUT THERE AND MAKE SOME FLICKS FOR US TO WATCH,CUMMMMOOOONNNNNN,

PFFFTTT,should have tried it before I opened my foot size mouth. You cant actually fit those sachels in the housing, but you can tear them open and wack in a couple of the SILICA BEADS!!!!!Think thats what they meant to say,
