I have a chance to introduce some people to SUP on a last minute offer but my board is still under repair. I've covered the holes and have put some auto primer on the bottom of the board. All that is left is a final sanding before final acrylic paint and clear coat. Is it okay to get the board wet at this stage?

it wouldn't worry me. I would probably put some duct tape over to ensure no rough / sharp edges.

Thanks, Ted. I'll give the bottom of the board a quick and light touch with the power sander with 220 grit before heading out. I've put a second primer coat down after the first one bubbled (I left the ventilation plug in while doing the repair). I'm still not certain it is 100% waterproof.
