Sorry if this has been covered but I couldn't find anything in a search. I was just wondering if anyone has some input re the GoPro smart remotes. They say on their website that's it's waterproof to 10' which isn't much considering the pressures from the waves when going through the wash cycle. I don't want to spend the $$ to have it fail after a couple of sessions.

Pretty sad really I know, but I'll admit I'm lazy and it's a pain getting up and down turning the camera on and the idea of strapping a remote to the wrist is appealing. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers Whitey

Hi yt04
Yeah I got one and use it on the GoPro Hero 2. Haven't had any trouble so far and have used it several times in the surf.

Personally I just leave the GoPro turned on and then scan the vid to find the good bits.

I used the remote a bunch of times and maybe mine was dodgy but found that it often lost the connection. I was using when I was learning SUP and I was falling off a bit, but it seemed that the separation when I was in the water, and maybe the interference of the water, made it lose the connection. I no longer use it.
