Hi Everyone

I am looking to freight a board from VIC to SA. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced courier to do this? All of the online calculators I have tried come up with some expensive prices, in the vicinity of $300-$400. That's a little to much for me unfortunately.

Thanks

I've had a 11ft and 12ft longboard sent via pack and send a couple of years back ,no problems.Especially good if board is in a bag ,as pack and send will wrap it ,therefore giving another level of protection.I think back then ,around 2011,it was around $200 to wrap and deliver it to the door in metro SA,from NSW including insurance.Google pack and send in the area you are getting it sent from, and ring them with the dims ,or email and they will quote you. That worked best for me as the guy I bought it from listed as pick up only ,but was happy to drop it off to local pack and send.Hope that helps.

If you are on good terms with a shop - ask if they'll let you pay them to freight it, they get good deals. I bought a board from a shop in WA (to Vic) at only $110 freight just last year with the shop organising the freight. For me to get the same size 'package' from Melbourne to my door (360kms) would have been >$200.

I have used Trans-direct to move windsurfing boards and sails and have never had a problem.
