G'day everyone,just wondering if anybody else likes to dive under waves holding their paddle between their leggs like a broomstick.It's more just fun than any kind'a new tecnique and it's probably not the easiest way of doing it but it cracks me up every time I go under.

Nah,no worries there Dave I hold the paddle with the blade angled towards me so the rush of water forces it away from my body.I might get a smack in the nose from the handle one day though.

Haha! Last season Larry Haynes who charges big surf here coined the phrase "Harry Pottering" his paddle after riding huge underwater bubble clouds on the way in on a big day after his leash broke... He swears he was steering while dropping and rising on the way in underwater from way out the back at Sunset... Paddle between the legs as he said, "Just like Harry Potter!" Hahaha...
