Makes me laugh the whole SUP and pretend Hawaiian thing, Aloha's and Mahalo's etc.

For the record though, I love Hawaii, I want to go there badly. It just makes me cringe seeing people turn Hawaiian when they start a sport originating in Hawaii. I'm sure the Hawaiian crew think it's pretty funny too.

what is it with surfers and all their territorialism??? I thought the surfer culture was of a laid back chilled nature but as soon as they hit the water it's the complete opposite! I apologise for generalising there but is a very common thing to see and hear about.

He was interveiwed on JJJ, sounded so mellow. I think SUP has made him soft DJ

Back when I was on Maui (a long time ago) Gerry and his gang who all wore Camo (Camo clothes and even his boards were all Camo coloured) .. Had guns.. And you wouldn't want to be in the wrong place or look at them the wrong way.. Now he's one of the nicest guys alive..

I have Hawaiian friends who think it's cool for Aussies to mix in some Hawaiian language into our talking story. Never had a problem with it in my experiences over there or in our telecommuncations. However, Polynesian tatts are not so cool on us haoles, especially weedy white boys like me.

I don't think the gopro guy is blood hawaiian, he sounds like an whining wannabe,fair enough for complaining though he got through the first chandeleir then ol mate made a right mess for him
