Hi every body, my name is Luana, I am from Brazil and have been windsurfing for 5 years (wave) and kitesurfing (waves) for about 2 years.

As a begginer in the SUP, I would like to know which tail should I aske the shaper to make... I use the SUP for cruising and small-to medium height of waves.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I looked into this myself yesterday after seeing the new Naish Gun. I found this website pretty helpful: surfing-waves.com/board/tail_shape.htm

drawn in pin tail , make those drops on the medium waves more manageable ...not sure how the tail is going to effect you for cruizing, probably want to pay more attention to the length, rocker, fin and width for the flat water stuff

It's a personal thing and a lot depends on the rest of the board.. and how wide and how long will it be..and also what shape will the nose be?

I like rounded pins and squash tails myself rather than the pointy swallow tails and fish type tails.

You've got to consider that the board might hit you..and if it's going to hit you what shape would you like it to be then...
