Today is my daughters birthday and tomorrow is my birthday. Presents less than $50 will not be accepted thanks. Pm me for my details please
Anyway, my sister came to visit this arvo. When I opened my present I was so excited to see a Gopro camera. YEEHAA
Is anyone using the round, white, mounting that it comes with?
I guess this is good if you only use the one board.
After losing my camera in big surf, which was attached to a Casso Sucker, Im reluctant to put my Gopro on with another Casso Sucker.
The Casso Sucker is great as you can put it on any board without a perminant fixture.
Any other ideas?

Happy Birthday GR,
You just have to add a (insert or stick on) plug on the front of your board(s)

Happy Birthday Greenroom..

I have also a GoPro now but not used it yet.. I'm not sure what the best mounting system is.

I was planning to use duct tape and tape that black square plastic plate (that it comes mounted to) to the board until I have some FCS plugs fitted.

Did yours come with a little mounting tab that would mount into a FCS plug?.. I think they are supposed to come with one but I don't think mine did.

Happy Bday Greenie.
I have the black plate they supply with the double sided tape on my board. It has been stuck on since xmas and is still as firm as it was on day one.
If you use the plate, I recommend when not in use to put some gaffa tape over it as it can cause you a bit of damage if you hit it during a wipeout.

Heh greenroom it is my birthday today tooo. I have been dropping hints that I wanted a Gopro or new Kiakaha Paddle to my wife but knowing my luck it will be jocks and socks

So keep your fingers crossed for me

Hey thanks everyone for your comments and birthday wishes.
Im so excited to use my camera. No more video footage of my ankles hahaha.
Its the Gopro surf which came with the FCS mount. I think I might just put a plug on the front of my board. I have downloaded the new software which allows a 4gb sd card to be used instead of the 2gb max. I also have the bike reflector mount to use for paddle cam but mainly want to use it for windsurfing boom cam.
I reckon Dogmans onto something. Dreadlock cam
Ive kept the black plate and will give that a go too.
Saturday did look good Hilly but now it looks onshore

We put an fcs fin plug in the nose of the board and use the attachment that came with the camera that fits into the fin plug.

They all have the screen upside down. I think it has something to do with when it's used with a wrist strap or something??

Rainex?

That's the stuff. It works well but only for about 45-60 mins, by then it'll have worn off and the droplets will be back.
