Since I started Sup earlier this year I find now that I look at a body of water in a different way. Whether I am driving past Botany Bay in a light off shore breeze or cruising past my local golf course I just see a lake, bay or river and picture myself SUPing on it. It certainly gets me through the daily grind.

When I started bike racing again I saw wind and hills in a new way.
When I took up skateboarding again I saw pavement in a new way.
When I started fly fishing I saw rivers in a new way.
When I started tying my own flies I saw roadkill in a new way.

Now I SUP I see the sea in a new way.

One needs to see things in new ways, lest one should get old...

Slightly off topic (but it sounds like we're all the same)

I worked with a bit of and old-school geek who used to tell me that I just 'HAD' to go around the African coast...I once asked him how much it cost him, & when he went there, he looked at me with a strange look - "Nah, Google earth - it's free". I thought he was joking until he showed me some of his fav locations!

The coke-bottle glasses & pasty skin should've wised me up.

I work beside the brisbane river and have several times tried to talk the boss into letting me give sup lesson to the office staff just for their fitness and I alway imagine my self running on the rivercat wash on my 14 footer [but i dont think I have a problem]

And loving my addiction Doggie. Woof Woof.

It's gotta be better then being addicted to pokies, cardies, cigarettes, gambling, pot, speed, coke, smack, pills, prescription drugs, sex (yes, some people are addicted to sex), stamp collecting.

So I'm not alone on that one.
I look at google maps (satelite & classic) for places to Sup and boat ramps as well.
Na, no problem here.

I know that lake on that golf course, and yes I wondered about it too.
And when I'm sat in the traffic looking out across he Bay, I often see some lucky bugger that is enjoying the early morning more than me.

Are you refering to the Lakes golf course next to Southern Cross Drive ?
The clubbies use to use it for 500 m efforts on the skis.
Would be great for short stuff.
