When you get a new toy, you just gotta share the joy!

I was lucky enough to find a nice Laguna Bay 9.3 on ebay a few weeks ago. It had to be mine. And it was mine !

Blue Gal, as I call her is a very very light weight 9.3 x 30 x 4 something (who cares too much about the numbers??) Ive spent the last 6 months on a naish 11.6, which has been FAB, and has given me great muscles lifting it on and off the car.

I was seriously surprised at just how stable Blue gal is, how can something this small be as stable as the 11.6??? I am very surprised at how much glide it has too, its just great to paddle on the flat water, just goes zig zaggy a bit more. I guess my weight (63kg) does suit this board.

Today , me and Blue gal headed up to Noosa, I finally got the courage up to surf somewhere "crowded" instead of somewhere with NO ONE to run over. I feel SO much more confident on the smaller board, I am alot more in control of the steering. Need I say NOOSA was a blast blast BLAST (no wet suit required today (sorry viccos !) !!! First Pt had a Nice 4ft + rolling on in the sets. There was 4 or 5 other SUP out and about 20 of those people who persist in flapping about at water level with no paddle, and everyone was SO Friendly! Best part was I didnt run over ANYONE!

Heres some photos - none of noosa sorry! Maybe Friday i will take the camera
