WOW !

Ikaika makes it look sooo easy!

Check the foot position in the 1st frame - hard on the rail trying to draw into the pocket.
It starts to bite in the 2nd and then his lower legs getting caught in the 3rd frame.
He still pull it off!

Awesome stuff!

The second frame is the critical one, the front nose is sooo close tofully catching, you can see he has stopped driving and is back footing to the max, but what really saves him I reckon is the paddle. The track is a deep gouge.

These go on my screen saver, there is a new king of Pipe.

Great pics.. A great board without doubt.. and also a great rider but I think his talent with the paddle is what saved him here.

I love Pete Hogdson's shots.

Did you notice the little camera mounted on the nose? They will make interesting shots for sure.

Yep, the 9'3 Ripper is Ikaika's weapon of choice!

When the it comes to riding 'waves of consequence' he has also been seen on the 9'8 Ripper.

Ikaika at Teahupoo on an early version of the new 9'8 Ripper.

When it comes to charging style and DEEP commitment, Ikaika is the man!

It's very nice to see people who can appreciate how insane that footage is. When I saw it I knew it was HEAVY! You know when people don't know what's really going on when they see that and it doesn't move them. That sequence right there is the epitome of the highest level of surfing to date on a SUP board...

The first pic just blows my mind. It is a freaking poster shot in wider angle, high resolution and it will be available in the future. BC

It seems he hasnt moved his feet until his rear one comes across on the exit from the barrel,- im amazed at the drop that can be made on these things - for me its a case of do whatever you gotta to hang on till you can wipe some speed-he seems in complete control , would love to see his stroke in , and what hes thinkin on the drop!!!!
