Got my new 17ft today and it looks sweet, took it for a flat water paddle this arvo and its a lot faster than the 14ft but tomorrow will be the test as it should be 20kts so i will say more tomorrow..

How heavy is it?

I did a good 20km paddle today to test out the board there was about 15knots of wind.
The board is super stable i only fell of once and that was from just mucking around on a runner. It picked runners very easy and felt very comfortable on them it was easy to shift between runners with a little touch on the rudder. Board speed was good in between runs and the rudder worked sweet. I only put the nose under water once and she popped right back up with ease.

Overall for the average conditions i knocked about 8 mins of my best time for the same run so i'm really keen to get it out in some real wind and see how fast it can go.

This board would be easy for some one wanting to get it to ocean racing and should have enough board speed to be at the pointy end of the field for some time to come..

Board weight at a guess would be 15kg maybe, just a guess!!

Construction seems very good with wood carbon and a very nice finish to the board and With a price at $3000 with a board bag i think Naish have hit a winner with this one.

Is the bottom shape the same as the 14?
