Dropped into the SurfFX demo day at Budds Beach on Saturday , they had a big chunk of the new JP Australia Sups on the beach.

Here's sneak preview of the 8-0 , 8-6 , 8-10 , 9-2 , 9-4 , 9-6 , 10-2 & 11-4 cruiser , plus I slipped a bit of eye candy in there.

Hope you enjoy.

Thanks DJ , have you had a chance to try any of the race boards yet. That 11-4 cruiser is a real black sheep

I dropped into the shop the other day and was really impressed with the shape of the 8'6. Really nice rail profile, nice plain shape and rocker looks on the money.

Such a massive step leap from previous JP sups.

Yeah I have been riding the 8-6 Carbon for the last couple of weeks and I am just frothing over it. The rail profile is really subtle and tucked or pulled in whole way round the tail. it's not single to double concave but a slight V and the FCS fin boxes are parallel to the stringer with no toe or cant on the fins....they are dead straight and 90 degrees to the board. This comes from the windsurf side of the company. When I first looked at the fin set up , which is on all New JP's.....I thought is this a mistake ?

First thing you notice when you ride the board is the speed this is from a combination of plane shape ,rocker profile & the fin set up as there is no negative drag from the toe or water getting pushed down from the Cant it just generates speed.I also find you get a real positive drive from the 90 degree fins and this just adds to the speed. Currently I'm running the Jackson Close thruster set with larger fronts and smaller rear. (these fins rock , available at shapers)

The board surfs with really tight arcs in your turns , with just a slight movement of your back foot you get full fin traction or slide it forward just a little for the dish pan turns. It's an incredible fast dynamic board even with my 93 kgs trying to drown it.

Don't take my word on it go into SurfFX and demo the board

The fin thing sounds radical !

A real step away from the normal .

I like the look of the of the 8-6 but might a bit small for me , the 8-10 could be right on the money. It is availble with the wood deck and what's the price difference between the wood and carbon.

The 8-6 & 8-10 are both available in carbon or wood sandwich . Cost difference between the 2 is about $400 but you need to check with boys in the shop.

Rrp on the wood is $1799.
The 8'10 is an easy paddle and I'm 89kgs.
