Well, I've been lucky enough to score a $900 cheque and feel that it would be rude to spend it on anything but a new SUB! I am however unsure what to buy and was hoping for some advice.
The story so far:I'm approximately 95kgs and 6'1", have been riding an Amundson 11'6" SUB for about 7 months and take it out in anything from flat to 5 foot close-out (Sam saw me and voided all future warranty claims

). As you can imagine I now want something a lot more "short board" orientated but will keep the Amundson for flat water/WAGS etc.
Recent experience:I demoed two SUB's on the weekend (thanks Sam) a Naish 9'6" and a 2008 *board 10'6" at Longreef (cross shore), Manly (offshore) and Collaroy (offshore and small). The Naish was tough to get on with in the chop but on the waves it was unbelievable! I caught a few waves but was surprised at the lack of glide and needing to get closer to the shoulder on it. It was a different story at Manly which was very smooth - I paddled from Queenscliffe to the Bower and didn't fall in. I then moved onto the *board and found it very stiff in the waves - even more so than the Amundson.
Next:Sam has suggested 3 boards that could suit me, the Naish 9'6" (I agree), the *Board 9'6"x30 and the *Board 9'x30 but he doesn't have these on demo.
Advice:What would you recommend? I really like the Naish and don't worry about the construction... Is there anything else? Ultimately I want to be buying this from Windsurfnsnow as they've helped me and my mates out a lot over the last few months/years - so it needs to be stocked by them.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
Thanks
Ben
