Hi Breezers,
i have done a search on removing deckpads and wondered if there have been any advances in this .
I remember DJ talking about this once but i cant find the posts ?
anyone ?
AA or Sam you guys are in the know .

There was a whole lot of talk about this back when Naish offered to replace anyones deck grip the was lifting.. (when they had a faulty batch)

I think once you've used a scraper or blade you just need to wet it with metho or turps to soften the glue and get something like this snowboard scraper.

wax and grease remover to get rid of all the sticky stuff.

hey aus301 do you know what brand wax grease remover and would it cause the sup deck surface to dry out or anything weird like that ?
for that matter DJ would the turps do the same thing ?
just trying to get it right .

septone wax and grease remover is what you need. Cleaned plenty of boards with it and works a treat spay it on let it soak for 5 mins and scrape of, repeat if needed.

thanks again everyone just to add to this post i tried a few things to get up the sticky residue and what i found to be the best by far was WD40 amazing stuff , still took a lot of elbow grease but thankfully i wasn't doing a whole deck.

I seen a bit on utube about removing the left overs and he used asatone.

I think if you search on utube under adding deck handles.

I have removed deck pads using a hair dryer to soften the glue. It all came off clean with no residue.

The pad had only been on for a few days so I don't know if it would work if the glue has properly bonded to the board.

You just start at a corner and heat the glue then slowly peel, heating as you go.

I have used to clean off contact adhesive and that worked fine.
