For those who might be interested, I posted an article on the latest Maliko race on Ke Nalu (kenalu.com/ ) Yours truly did really lousy, but I finished.

Nice read Bill , sounds like a tough day , they are really interesting comments on what happens to a displacement board when it planes.

Hope the damage to the board is only minimal.

Yeah Piros and if you know what you are doing it's not a problem and they fly.....

I think the efficient displacement hull was working against it. the board would catch a swell extremely quickly, but when it reached hull speed and started to transition to a plane, it became less stable.

I would imagine the penetrator would take a very skilled and experienced rider to get the most out of it the day you went out.


It sounds like it's fast but a handful in the big swell Stu , you might have to get Woogie over there ,you might need to tame the hull so the average punter can ride it.
