I was wondering when this post was going to pop up. Should be a great run. Wednesday will be similar I think.

I'll be surfing in the partial protection of some large cliffs, close to home. There will be a couple of metres of swell running.

Enjoy your down winder though!

After 3 hours surfing the JM 14'er in little waves down the east coast with Jonathan yesterday, a downwinder would be fun. Alas, work has other ideas.

Have a good one guys.

I see that current forecasts are showing Wednesday as probably looking better than tomorrow, so could be back-to-back DW'ers for those with more flexible working hours than me.

I'm keen to go again tomorrow, just have to dry the wettie or could grab a spare off Rosscoe from his wetsuit fleet on the way down.

Surely YOU don't need to dry your wettie Cam??

Hahaha ..... funny Cam.

Folks, he may be a tough, hard marathon paddler - but get him near a wet wettie and he squeals like a little girl!

I've put a couple of wetties on ice, if you wanna come past and collect one in the morning.

Hey Marty.. You went well yesterday on your first down-winder.. It's great to see an F-One board in the mix with all the DW crew..

heh Simondo, for the early D/W ers it was 6-7/10 but a good workout, but the way the wind is blowing at 30 knots+ I reckon the next crew would be lining up for the second or third D/W in a row, its white caps everywhere on the bay, from the sideline it would be 12/10+, there will be alot of hoot'n and a hollering goin' on, in them there Bay

For the crew that did the 6.30 run to Ricketts it was a 8/10.

The section from HMB to the Rotunda is always the best for smooth, long runners and only minimal wind, so you actually get glide from the waves rather than just being pushed up the arse by the wind.

Starting the run in the semi-darkness always adds an extra dimension to it as well.
