1.8 m rotto swell and a nice mid to low tide rapidly going out
se 4- 8 knots - put it in your wave log.

this allows the contour lines at mettams to reveal themselves nicely

The SUP gets ober that hesitation in the peak thta makes this a tricky place to surf on a shortboard. I was picking up tons of scraps - virtually spent the whole session surfing or paddling out.

The odd scary nig head but the waves seem to float you over em quite nicely.

tons of great lefts and rights - got another big bagful of waves - stoked!

Hey MH, I checked Metts this morning at first light but seemed mega high tide and didnt have those nice rollers you talk about. No one out but not that inviting. Checked most of the other reef breaks and even Packed Point which was strangely enough empty.
What board did you take out? The 11'2?
I ended up giving the morning a miss and waited for the LAGO on a smaller tide. Went out further north from Metts.
Ended up to be a fun SUP. No crowd. Just me, Si, Hawkie and Miller behind the camera because he is waiting for his new JL to arrive

the low to mid tide does the trick at metts - occasional head high sets - it was picking up a fair bit of what was on offer

the good old 11'2 keeps delivering the goods!
