I haven't tried one yet..But the new Pacifico Surf looks a lot better than the old Pacifico...But it still looks like a windsurfer..imo

Here's a few pictures that I took..You can see how it's quite thin and soft in the rails..It would be interseting to see how floaty it is while uphauling.

The grip deck is only in the foot strap area..I like the way it has holes for putting foot straps on it.

SHQ has one in their showroom..The quality is what you expect from Mistral...Excellent.

tried the old one...

i liked it for straight lining and for windsurfing ... i found the nose to catch a bit on waves

not much rocker on them, mind you have seen a mad french man take them out in quite big waves and he went alright...

they do feel quite heavy compared to my naish.....

the new ones are loads smaller in vol. and more probably not as user friendly ....

Haven't gotten out on the Pacifico wave yet, but it has alot more "V" in thet tails than the Pacifico, and more nose lift. It is designed to surf a lot better than the Pacifico. Finish and quality are A1. The board is a little more expensive than the Pacifico. But the board is far better for surfing. Yes it is a little heavier than the Naish boards.

Thanks for the feedback. Currently using a 11'6'' Naish that is great but the better half and I don't share well so I was looking to get something different as a second board. Don't get to see much in NQ although one of the local guys has just got a Laird which was interesting to try.

12 footer, only tried it on flat water. initial impression was that the naish seems to be a better allrounder but the planshape, thickness, rails etc look like the laird would be better in the surf. The guy who owns it loves it and he has used the naish a few times. Worst mistake I made was using his carbon paddle, now I want one.
