Hey BT, not too shabby for your first downwinder vid!!! Some classic slides for an estuary. How about the bottom turn at the 4 min mark ??!! Not much of a workout though - you hardly had to paddle

Haha stimo, even they don't like it when it's 16 degrees my human friends will start rocking up down here once the cut run starts blowing! There is a hint of a light doctor filling in right now
Lick the lens, really??? Of the waterproof housing for the water or of the actual lens for fog?
The estuary goes all right chicken, not many places have a ocean run as good as falcon so to have winter estuary runs is just been spoilt!!!

It was about 25 knts, the edit is 4-5 clips I think, I'm no good at it so didn't want to do heaps, but the runs are long most over a minute! The estuary is shallow so that probably helps plus that is no ordinary 12'6! Dale has done that exact run on a pretty good day last year. Marcus and I have had some crazy runs in winter northerly fronts where we just surfed for 17 km, good leg workout!!!

Top run Ben.
The estuary is an awesome run. Pure wind waves with no swell cutting across on weird angles.
Will like to do a run in a SE.

Nice one brother. Sick board!! And the yob paddle is so efficient that you don't even have to put it inthe water.

Nice work. You look like you've got a keeper with that board. I get into a routine these days of giving the lens a wipe every now and then to get those water droplets off. Just a simple finger wipe seems to do the trick. Keep it up. That run looks good.

that is some great downwinding, some of those swell look pretty large for wind swell, considering the gopro normally makes stuff look smaller,

i find if you rub some dishwashing liquid onto the lens it stops the water beading like that, i find licking it or rubbing it off is a bit impractical on a race board,

hope to see some more vids mate that was great

Hey Ben great vid.
Is that the run we had as a contingency course for the King of the Cut if it went west?

Thanks for the handy tips guys, will try get some clearer footage next time.
I'm not to sure Greg, that was really a wsw from falcon to serpentine river.
The best for a dead west would be falcon to the Murray river then 8km of flat to a pub on the rivers edge about 18km all up.

What you mean like is forecast this weekend.

Ok this may sound a little grose but a little bit of natural oil off your nose works wonders at shedding water off the lens, of course rainex is pretty good too but hey they don't call me tighty for nothing.
