Anyone buying a new Naish Glide will be rapt that it comes with a free board bag that's a perfect shape for the pointy nose board.
But once they fit the fin they will not be so rapt when they find that you can't get the board into the bag because the fin slot in the bag is slightly wrong.
Even with my fin as far forward in the slot as I could and pulling on the cover I could not get the fin through the slot... So I had to hot knife it.
Maybe Naish originally were going to go with a different more upright fin shape but ended up using the standard 10 1/2" fin that comes on the 11'6" boards.
Also the bag has a thin layer of foam sponge that lines the bag making a wet board hard to slide in..and it will soon tear making it harder.
I turned my bag inside out and removed all the foam/sponge and now my board slides in and out easy-peasy.
Here's a pic showing the little bit of sponge showing (red arrow)..and the extended fin slot cut shown in yellow.
They're both easy five minute mods to do yourself...Am I the only one to own a new Naish Glide? ..and am I the only one with this problem?
