I dunno what prices are like in Australia, but you'd struggle to get a full carbon in the UK for that money. Probably better to get a blend of fibreglass and carbon from a reputable brand.
Having said that, here in the UK there is a local brand called the Snell Brothers who produce excellent and very light full carbon adjustables for about that amount of money. In terms of weight, durability and performance they are right up there with much more expensive brands costing twice as much IMO. Maybe you have a similar local brand close to you, or you could get one shipped from the UK? I don't have any connection to the brand. I think their website might need updating because I don't see the adjustable on it, but I was told that they are selling one, so you could try emailing them.
