Six months and the Kialoa Viagra has worn off. Shaft broken at bottom hand.
Love the Methane but would like to get longer use.
Any recommendations for longer lasting brand?
Anybody broken other brands just from stroking, not from paddle abuse?
What is your favorite paddle and why?
Thanks,
Marty

Quickblade. And a tip, if your in Hawaii like I am right now, they don't have a massive selection here but email qb in ca and have them express post a new paddle in 2 days for 100 plus cheaper than Australia. not postage costs. Brilliant. Sitting looking at my new Kanaha bamboo 110 ordered 2 days ago brilliant... Under $390. All I can say is another Mai tai...

Thanks for some feedback folks.
Bit bummed today as only been supping around 18 months, had not broken a paddle until yesterday. The Kialoa was slowly cracking and yesterday gave in but my C4 back up snapped clean without warning today not so happy now.
Bit poorer tomorrow!

I'm a Mike Fry fan myself, 2 years now and no breakages, had it in surf from knee high to well overhead, not big on staying on the board a lot so it gets lots of abuse. Perhaps a little heavier than other brands but strong as.

As a race paddle does anyone have any feedback on the C4 X-Wing Pro??? Obviously they must be alright or TG would not be using them and endorsing them but they standout as being different to the common design.

Without having used one I like the concept of the straight edge on the paddle, it is a slightly similar idea to what you would find on a kayak or surf ski paddle (excluding the scoop). Obviously the common tear-drop shape is tried and tested as well and I expect it draws on a lot of the R&D for canoeing and outrigger paddling that would have been done over the years.

Cheers

They were asking $800 for this one on Trade Me....maybe i should just stick with a solid fibreglass shaft & whatever blade I can find that will fit it
