Sunshine Coast SUP Club Members can get a 25% discount if they register by the end of this month (January) as we are assisting with the set set up (Must be a financial Member). It would be great to see as many club members enter as possible.

Never been to the event. Looks like a popular contest. Can anyone assist with Mens SUP 10ft & over. Is this a flatwater or surf division?

Hey, at least they also have an over 10' SUP division. It is great to see. Hate to say you might be needing it after all those pies you have been gorging down?

If I had a good SUP noserider and the resources to get there I would put my money where my mouth is and enter. For everyone else, it would be fun and great to watch.

Dogman, thanks. It is a pity the 10' division does not catch on down here in NSW. I don't want to start another argument about how I think SUP is getting too much like pure shortboarding. More to the point, I really enjoy riding bigger SUPs and the classic paddle and surfing skills they require.

It should catch on down here (10ft sup) id be willing to ride me in comps. Saw a (so called) pro riding a 6'6 sup... thinking why don't you just ride a 6'0 shorty. Noosa be awesome on a 10 footer. Ive been up there for the past three events and only one year was firing. The rest have been tiny.

Yes, and the longer SUPs also fit well with the festivals longboarding origins?

Just a pity it is so far away. It would be at least great to watch the various specialty events and features.
