Just a thankyou from some of the crew at Coffs to Andy and Bevo for putting the tour and Jason for doing all the paid hard work.

J was telling me about his drive up here somewhere south of here when he was confronted by an airborn Pajero towing a caravan. J reckons he was looking at the engine of the car.

Apparently a paddy wagon did a U-Turn infront of the Pajero without looking, the Pajero had no where to go except over the medium strip which is when it became airborne. The Pajero survived and so did J with no damage.

But the real kicker to the story is that the cops wanted to or did book the Pajero driver for neg driving.

It was great paddling the PSH 9'6 ripper and the Oxbow 9'6. My heavy weight paddling buddy tried all the 10' he weighs 115kg, it finally opened his eyes that their are better boards than the 11'6 kalama.

Thanks AA and Bevo.

Boardbumps you said..."My heavy weight paddling buddy tried all the 10' he weighs 115kg, it finally opened his eyes that their are better boards than the 11'6 kalama"

Ahhh.... actually he tried the 10'6 wide AA and the 10'6 AA.
Hmmm... 115kg??? .....not... try 103kg
I have allways known there are other boards out there even though we are isolated so well done you nearly got it right but you forgot to throw the Kiwi word in there lol.

Anyway J thanks for yesterday had a great time even though the surf was a bit pathetic. Both boards surfed great but the 10'6 AA would probably be my pick as it is noticeably quicker to paddle and surfed a little better and as always the trade off was the stability which is obviously less than the 10'6 wide AA.

Looking forward to the C4 demo day

Hey Rod/Bowness, glad to hear you were getting out into it.
Always good to play with some new toys, eh!
Always knew we would never get Rod away from his custom machines for long!!

Yeah pretty keen to get our hands on the new C4's as well - DaMooch looks like a nice machine!
If we get some in time we will bring them up in March when we are up that way again.

The show rolls on - Goldy tomorrow!!
Hopefully we will score like the BIG DADDY down south and get some of those METER MAIDS on our boards!

Andrew.A

PS: If you ever hear Jay saying we don't pay him enough (even though he put his life on the line on the way up) - tell him to get e REAL JOB!! He comes back for a week and then he is off to poach powder in Japan - what a life!

Hey Guys
With E'ly winds on the forecast the demo's will be on the northern side of the alley where the bowls club used to be. Its a great spot for the whole family with flat water and no current and a big grassy area to check out all the boards.

Times for demo's are Friday 10 o'clock onwards and 7:30 on Saturday.

Don'T forget that after the Saturday demo there will be a BBQ and drinks at Roar Industries new shop so come to both and have a good time.

Any Questions please feel free to give me a buzz and I'll help where i can'

Thanks guy's and girl's for the demo day on the Gold Coast,it was great meeting you guy's!Sorry could not hang around for the BBQ

I had a quick count of demo boards on offer 18 in total on the sand ready to go!
Great venue and conditions perfect with a 4 foot swell breaking out the back, although uneven tomorrow will be on!

I paddled the PSH 11 wide loved it until I jumped on the PSH 10.6 wide, this thing turns on a top,I am no expert on SUP, but this thing would rip in the surf for the bigger guy like me!

Thanks again

I second 62mac. Thanks to all involved in the demo day at Currumbin today. Awesome to paddle 10+ boards in one session. Had a ball and suprised myself paddling everything right down to the 9'6 ripper. All the boards were awesome but my order is in for the 10'6 AA wide. Sweet board for the larger lad but can see myself on the 9'6 AA wide or even the 9'6 ripper in the future. Get down and demo some boards, you don't need to start on a 11'+ board. Try a few out, you will be suprised. Oh.....anyone wana buy a used 11'6 Naish?? Thanks again for a great day.

Thanks guys! Great vibe, great demo - the Gold Coast was rocking for sure!

Great crew - solid turn out and we got some waves!

Thanks to the hospitality of the ROAR crew! Always good to down some greenies and share the stoke with others totally amped on Paddle Surfing! Love ya work!

One too many greenies though - didn't quite make it to Ange's fitness class!

Andrew.A

PS: I thought that those who met him would all like to know that Jay made it home alive!
He even managed to score an epic session at The Pass - calling it the session of 09'!
Nice to know that a hard working lad like Jay scores it after toiling up and down the coast for a whole week!

ive been resisting using the term SICK for years, but finally got it out of the bag today. scored the Pass at 2-3ft with the wider sets getting to 4ft. glassy 400 mtr lines that sectioned at the end for 2 of the greatest barrels ive had, made 1 and got smacked down in the other. without lying 150 - 200 surfers in the water but 2 paddle boarders sitting wide and having it all to ourselves. pic attached is average but shows us sweeping back out the back

SICK......
(Jay)

So the van is back in town for now, but we hope to head back up that way again in mid March so if we missed you, holla!
