I have been away from Perth for the last three weeks getting the ball and chain attached and between last weekend and this week I think I have seen more SUPpers in the area than ever before. It also seems there are few new guys posting on here from Perth. Did I miss some massive sale on boards? Or is it just that the waves have finally come to play?

If that's the case Hilly, he must be bringing a new friend down everyday he isn't working!

Congratulations Cam, hope the big day went to plan.
Definately more Sup crew on the water lately, surfed one peak at Cott on Saturday morning with 9 sups on it. Only recognised Stewart out of all of them.

Good to hear Stew is still paddling, he seemed to disappear since last summer.

There has been so much talking it up that more and more get in to it. I wonder if/when it gets to a point that the current guys SUPing start wishing it was played down more and less joined the sport to crowd out their waves. I think waves can handle surf crowds more than stand up crowds.

When I read the title I thought "must of been a fire and explosion in a warehose that had SUPs in it"

I see heaps more around Cott but have a feeling it may be the latest fad and good to have one on the roof of the X5 when you have a latte on the beach front.

Doggie- Do you mean you where hoping that it was a SUP explosion. All that foam and epoxy would be very combustible

They must be all buying them new from the shops 'cos I've had a new Suplove on Seabreeze for a coupla weeks, I live next door to Cott, surf Cott most days, but still waiting for a latte drinker/X5 driver to make me an offer
If you see one with empty roof racks please give him/her my details

I know of 6 friends or associates that have bought one in the last month, I think it is going to get a lot busier out on the water.
