At this stage the race will start in front of the topless lady with the red bikini.

Then you will head towards the St Kilda peir kiosk (slightly to the left heading for the yellow hat shaped bouy.

Turn left at that yellow bouy.

Then under the pier heading for the yellow pole.

Once at the yellow pole you turn right heading back toward St Kilda kiosk.

Past the kiosk.

Past the lady swiming near the kiosk.

Once around the beakwater near the kiosk you straight line it to the end of the breakwater.

Around the pole at the end of the breakwater and head straight for the beach.

Then around the yellow pole that's half way from the end of the breakwater and the beach.

Then heading back to the starting area keeping left of the yellow bouys.

Past the seaguls in the shallow water.

Back past the first yellow bouy for those doing two laps.. and those only doing one you go around that yellow bouy and head for the beach that you started at.

Head back towards the red bikini lady.

Is this course going over the sandbar where those seagulls were? That could get interesting if the tide is low.

I'm guessing you go as shallow as you're game to go..

Chris was out this morning making final checks - looks like there will be a slight change to the course to avoid the sandbar. There's just no option of going as shallow as you're game when the sand is actually above the waterline as it was this morning.

At 7am this morning I couldn't find the start or finish line reference points shown in your photos . No mermaid at the kiosk either. The seagulls and all other reference points were all there though. Even had to share the Bay with 4 other SUPers. It was almost crowded out there. Looking forward to some fun on Thursday.

We a light southerly forecast for tomorrow I'll be looking forward to this point on the course for a nice little bit of a down wind run..
