Thanks sounds like north shore is place to be Offices are in Newmarket south of city. But north coast sounds best
i know nothing about Auckland so I need to do lots of research to find a mid priced northern suburb. I believe it is very costly like Sydney So going to be very different to Adelaide where about 800 000 will get you a very fair house.
I grew up on the North Shore and spent 13 Years living in London and even worked in Newmarket last year. It look me awhile to settle back in after being away for so long but I couldn't live in London again now. Auckland is a beautiful coastal city and great for all SUP disciplines so worth investing in a 14' board to take advantage of the conditions. It is an expensive place to live now easily on par with London and Sydney with an average house price of NZ$1m. Auckland traffic sucks so get used to a commute.
Newmarket is a good spot to work as good transport links via motorway and train. Great shopping district with good cafes, bars etc and a shop called the SUP Centre which is handy.
The first swell on the east coast for the summer will kick in on Friday which is a relief after waiting for 6 months! It might be worth getting into another water sport if you want time on the water. Kiting is popular but I windsurf when it is windy but getting into downwind SUP a lot now as the conditions are good for that.
