Just wondering of anyone's ever tried one of these ?

I rode an early model (1998) Gordon & Smith 10' Logger that Dane Wilson owned that he had the system put in back when Thayne Pope was attempting to bring the product into Australia back then but I've never seen a 'poxy Bi or Tri Sect in the water to get feedback.

It obviously makes travel easy BUT I'd love to know about performance / flex etc.

Just Google Pope Trisect to read all the horror stories about the boards and dealing with Pope - personally I wouldn't go near it.

Agree with Jonanthon

Great concept might even work but once the money gets paid the fun or horror starts

Not to spill the beans but I have already seen a concept far advanced to this with the same, no wait far greater results by a real company with real distribution.

I won't go on but given the history of this company and it's success I am sure you will be hearing more soon.

OMG - what a terrible stigma to have against you - he'd never sell another again !

Thanks for the heads up.

I saw a guy paddling one at Waikiki.... I think June 2009.... He liked the board, and the ease of storage, etc. The shape seemed OK too... he was happy with it.

But personally, if the waves were about chest height / head height and over, I would leave it on the beach.... I would be too scared of snapping it !!
