I went for a paddle today , and this tinnie with a few young blokes decide to head out into the break , they get out through currumbin bar laughing and having a ball , and im thinking this isnt gunna end well , anyway they gun it to get over a wave and all of a sudden the outboard just falls of the back , wave hits petrol tank flyes out!.Young blokes are thinking **** , kelly margets come out on the ski and saves the day. I was young and dumb once but i dont think i was ever that stupid.IS WAS A GOOD LAUGH ANYWAY

Funny stuff, that would have been good to see! We were all young and dumb once. I recall me and a mate borrowing a hobie surf cat one day. We were cruising off Trigg beach in Perth and saw some of the local crew in the water and had this great idea to catch some waves. Well just say it ended in tears when we had to fork out for the damage to a surf cat when it gets catapulted down a wave backwards. Funny in hindsight!

Fines? Environmental cleanup?? Doesn't sound like the Exxon Valdez to me. I'd say the public humiliation and the loss of the engine might be enough to slow the up a bit.
