I see the term pronie is being used to describe prone surfers. This means of course a surfer from the Shetland islands would be a shetland pronie. And a surfer with only one good move would be a " one trick pronie"

What about a surfer who "claimed" all his moves, a "show pronie".
As a surfer first the term "prone" wont go down well with real surfers !! I wont be using the term from now on, surfing is surfing and sup surfing is just that !

I hear where you are coming from brother and agree. Surfing is surfing is surfing, but unfortunately we, as human beings have a propensity to attach labels and whether you or I like it I'm sure the term SUP will prevail. So probably will the latest appellation, "prones"
Pronie, janitor, lid, poley, teabag, goatboat. Sticks and stones will break my bones... I dont care if Im Prone, pole or sweeper... Im out there, stoked and most importantly... getting waves!
