A quick clip of a few waves. It is all GoPro, but Ive tried my best to keep it watchable.

nice video

question though

have you used any other 8'5" boards , i demoed a 2010 Starboard 8'5" Pro a few weeks back and found it a bit too tippy for my work ethics to get (im 76 kilos and 5'10") how stable is the 8'5 x 30 Pocket Rocket comapred to other boards that length?

Cwamit: I havent ridden any other 8'5s. I like mine so I stick to it. I have heard the Pro model is good, but like you said a bit tippy. In the beachies that is Ok, but I find its hard enough on my board when the waves are moving quick and there is a bit of wind to deal with. As it is you dont get a too many strokes on the one side before you start turning.

DJ: I thought the shoulder mount would work better, Ive used it kiting and it was pretty good. I might be able to get it to work better, moving where it points, but that is one more thing to think of and sort out before you take off on a wave. I have enough trouble just turning it on.

Kakkerlak: Even if I told you where the spot is, I dont think it breaks like that very often. I can tell you the better waves for SUP tend to be a bit further away from the city, and with our constant onshores it can be hard to pick when to make the effort.

i'm not a real sb fan and i don't know which starboard that is, but that board looks clean and fast with a dash of sparkle.

i like the way it surfs and your picking some nice lines too
cheers

Thanks looks like I have some exploring to do. Must say the warm clear water is awsome. R
