If anyone is keen, I'm suggesting another early paddle Friday morning.
Could be a great way to limber up before the race on Sunday.

Forecast is

Forecast for Friday
Sunny. Winds south to southeasterly averaging up to 20 km/h tending southeast to southwesterly up to 30 km/h during the afternoon.

CitySunny.Min13 Max24

Possible start point - Green Point, Brighton, then paddle south towards Hampton and Sandringham. On the water at 6.30 and paddle for ?? 60 - 90 mins [ moderate].

Who's Up?

Still looking prime for a paddle in the morning.

Everyone still happy with Green Point at 6.30?

Sounds good to me but have you got a Melways reference for the carpark there? I've only ever gone to Green Point via the water. (and sometimes via rocks )

Got up at six this morning.
Strapped the board on the roof of the car in the dark.
Jumped in the car.
Dead battery.

Just hasn't been my week.

Looked like a great morning for a paddle.

No Alan it was awful - cold and miserable and polluted and overcast. Oh who am I kidding? It was a perfect morning. Just 5 brave souls however.

During my drive to work the bay was littered with SUPS from Green Point to Brighton Baths. I'm sure I saw some optimist trying to catch a 4" roller over the reef.

Ha! That was DJ hooking into a set created by the Spirit of Tassie.

He timed it well, it usually takes the bow wave 17mins 33 seconds to hit the shoreline from when the ship passes through the first channel markers.

Hey DJ, that 7am photo pretty much sums it all up.

It's just another reason why we do this sport.

See you tomorrow.
