Hello - slipped and fell over yesterday morn. Twisted and tore up an already bad knee. I want to buy a second hand board for flat to knee high waves. A beginner crioss over board to ride while my knee heals. Sunova had " The One " in 2016 I think. Looked good - any old ones for sale? Regards Steve

Lots of bargains to be found on facebook marketplace, some rubbish but a few good buys occasionally. Seems like some people on marketplace don't know what they've got so the pricing can be good.

Been swimming a kilometer a day with flippers - very slow kick rhythm - can now walk up stairs ( and down if I walk backwards. ) Haven't missed anything - and today sunny with nice swell but the waves look like mud! If water cleans up, will take out Bonzer on Monday - may not need ( here is hoping ) a recovery board.

OK - maybe a second board - not necessarily recovery, but also to paddle creeks and lakes - see " kalang River challenge " on facebook - couple of weeks ago! The Mullumbimby / Brunswick paddle is coming up and paddling 12km on the bonzer doesnt really appeal! What is the bloke at Pottsville - Mungo boards? Anybody have one of these? good for rivers lakes and small surf? toughness? thanks Steve ps -- if good, I would spend a weekend at the caravan park on river and try to get a demo ANY EXCUSE HOLIDAY

+1

Why would you get a surf-like shape for distance paddling? If you want to paddle distance or downwind get a proper 14 footer.

No downwinding and apart from the three longer paddles a year - mostly loafing along a lake or creek for 1,2 or 3 km - jump off and swim - drift in current - relax and float ( on board or off it ) Also longer board doesnt fit on the storage racks at home, and juust seems problematic. KISS Principle

Beautiful paddle - about 25 min for one lap round the island - managed two laps.
