1st of all thanks to those who replied to my post regarding this board. Wow it was impressive!! At 28 wide (82kg) I had a few falls in the first 15mins adjusting to the narrower board I normally ride 29 1/2 . The board still paddled quite well on to a wave and felt very light under foot ( but still strong). Now the difference, by my 4th wave I was taking off late and driving through the bottom turn like I was on my 6'4 this board just excellerates out of the bottom turn with speed to burn. Looking at it on the beach the tail looks a bit to wide, WRONG!! wack it up on the rail and drive it into a cutback at warp speed bang it off the white water back the other way and excellerate off again 28 wide lets you pump it down the line and finish with a big floater, big nose rocker allows you to land back down no worries. If you get a chance to ride this take it!! its SMOKING hot fun..
IMO a great board if you are in looking for your second board ! But I would not say I would recommend it for a first board unless you are a light weight..

Hi Courts
In the first 20mins I did struggle with the smaller volume but I think it was more the width 28' as compered to my Naish at 29.5 wide. But by the end of my session I was standing pretty comfortably out back but it was light offshore and glassy I intend trying it again soon in some rougher water, (backwash etc) and will post my thoughs. I have been paddling for around a year now surfing for a long time and also kite and use to windsurf so I like to think I have ok balance.

i had a look at this 9'4" at roar today, beautiful board- a nice nose rocker, a bigger tail , but not oversized, lovely rails and flat deck with a pretty good grip on it, also the fins are full glass and they look the part, not the cheap, easy option. it has the profile/foil of a shortboard. looks like the kind of board i could go out at 4,5,6 foot alley, take the bombs and maybe get shacked and do it with style(in my dreams).not a lot of name brands really grab my attention , but jacko might just get that sale out of me yet
cheers
