Untill today I have been riding an 11'6 naish so it was time to go smaller, got my self an 10'6 Naish and rode it for the first time today. 3 foot high tide, steep take off then full waves through to the beach. I may have been to ambious as I had a bit of a hard time catching waves compared to how well I go on the 11'6, but when i did get a few I could turn it almost as hard as my 9' mal, really impressed but I did alot of swimming as well. Swapped boards with a mate and tried his new 10'6 JL easier to stand on and paddle and turned almost as quick as the Naish but not quite. Felt like the board had just a bit more volume. Then we all swapped again and I tried the 11' Oxbow, felt heaiver, easy to catch waves, big slow turns but still quite nice I think if you were 70kg or less you could learn on this board and keep it for some time. Got back on the Naish did some more swimming!! but got some great waves so If I can lose a few kg and paddle it some more Ithink I will be stoked ROD

Rod,
The Naish 106 is definately a high performance SUP, it is harder to paddle (then bigger volume boards (as you would expect)), but you will get used to it, then the surfing performance will definately stoke you more than any other SUP you have surfed! I'm 95KG, and use the 106 all the time. Power and turns are insane!

Good review Rod,
This forum is much better off with some non-industry reviews....
