Just curious why you aren't taking your own sup on this 50 k journey ? If I was, I would want to take the sup I had been training on leading the paddle. Wouldn't you be tying gear down on your board ? If so, I doubt any old hire board would be sufficient. Good luck with the paddle.
North of Peel Island gets a lot of wind and tide that would be uncomfortable on a loaded SUP
Not just uncomfortable but brutal , pick your weather & tides if you are hanging around Peel island get the ferry times , good chance of ferry wash riding over the low tide banks as they pass back and forth to Dunwich , always wanted to try it.
