I thought I had a good story but bluddy Oliver has topped me.

Drove down for a quiet surf and had to settle for cleand 1-2 footers at a popular reef break. That sucks.

Paddled further out for a few set waves. They sucked too. After a while it got a bit crowded with half a dozen scowling longboarders sitting there. That sucks.

I paddled about a kilometre down the coast and found myself a little bay with clean 2 footers rolling in. That sucks too.

Wave after wave after wave, all by myself. Think of a micro-sized Bells Beach. Thick little waves that got hollower and faster as they rolled towards the beach. Constant mini-sets with no waiting. The only one to hoot me ... was me.

After a couple of hours of lonely surfing I paddled back and caught a groveller all the way back to the car park.

I didn't top anyone. Where did you go today Gorgo?

DJ and I found a good place today also. Just at the point in Flinders on the bay side. The swell wraps around the point and then goes into a shallow bay. We ended up getting some long long 200m+ rides on knee high to waist high waves. DJ said he must have caught around 30 waves and didn't fall in the whole session. I called it Bunker Bay, 'cause it was very protected there from SW-NW wind and there were some military bunkers on the head. I'm sure Brendan has the real name for it.

That's the one Brendan called the Cove.

I'm keeping my spot secret ... because it's so well known and so close to everyone else.

I was amazed nobody else padded up. I caught multiple waves in each set and I'd look back to see a small crowd of guys just sitting sitting sitting.

It's not the bloody cove.... it's one break up from it and I'm sure we are the first to ever surf it on sups.

C'mon Gorgo, no secrets.

I thought Hey Hey was a dead give away.

You know in my motorbiking days surfers were known as shark fockers.

I'm sticky taping your invite together again. The bay looked so flat, I didn't think that there would be any waves in there today.

Yeah Oliver and I know that now and saw it written on the wall of the old bunker up on the cliff along with all the other graffiti.

I think we'll still be calling it Bunker Bay..
